How to Use the Date Calculator
- Days between dates: select a start and end date to get the total number of days, the number of weeks, and how many of those days are weekdays versus weekend days (public holidays are not excluded).
- Add / subtract days: pick a starting date, choose "after" or "before," and enter a number of days to land on the resulting date — along with its day of the week.
Weekday and weekend counts use Monday–Friday and Saturday–Sunday only and do not account for public holidays.
Frequently Asked Questions
- How do I find the number of days between two dates?
- Pick a start date and an end date. The calculator shows the total days apart, the equivalent in weeks, and a breakdown of weekdays versus weekend days.
- How do I add or subtract days from a date?
- Use the "Add / subtract days" tab, choose a start date and direction (after or before), and enter the number of days. The result shows the new date and its day of the week.
- Do the weekday counts include public holidays?
- No. Weekdays are counted as Monday through Friday and weekend days as Saturday and Sunday. Public and festival holidays are not excluded.
- Is the end date included in the count?
- The day count is the difference between the two dates, so the span runs from the start date up to (but not including) the end date.
